In a rush? New mobile app will help you avoid jams

NOIDA: Tech-savvy traffic police are planning to launch a mobile app that will facilitate engagement of commuters and provide them easy access to information about the traffic situation. The app will be available for Android phones in three months and thereafter for Windows and iOS platforms too .

The app will offer traffic advisories and alerts. It will also provide information on faulty signals, towed vehicles, emergency contacts and complaints registration.

Ram Nayan Yadav, superintendent of police (traffic), said the traffic police already have a presence on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Whats App.

"Last month we launched an online survey and a number of people enthusiastically gave suggestions and feedback on how to improve the city's traffic system. We have decided to launch the mobile app, which will be a platform for easy access to traffic-related information for people," he said.
