Sony Xperia M5 To Launch In India Today

Sony Xperia M5 to launch in India today

Sony India today will be launching their Xperia M5 device in India today at an event in Delhi. The device was announced last month alongside the Xperia C5 Ultra and features a 5 inch Full HD (1920x1080) display, powered by MediaTek Helio X10 Octa Core SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with the company's custom UI on top.

The Xperia M5 features a 21.5 MP rear camera which Sony claims can focus in less than 0.25 sec thanks to their Hybrid AF LED Flash. This new technology by Sony is nothing but a combination of Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and Contast Auto Focus Detection.

The 21.5 MP camera features a f2.2 apertures and is equipped by the latest Exmor RS IMX230 sensor from Sony.

The camera is capable of shooting 4K videos. Sony has bumped up the selfie department too, by adding a 13MP front snapper which too uses a Exmor RS sensor. It also support 1080p video recording, so expect flawless video call - provided you have such a high network bandwidth in India (pun intended)!

Under the hood is a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa Core SoC which comes with 64bit processor with Power VR G6200 GPU. For multitasking there is a 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16GB which can further be expanded upto 200GB via MicroSD card. Just like any flagshio Xperia device, the Sony M5 comes with water and dust proof certification thanks to the IP65/68 and comes with 4G LTE support. The battery on the inside is a modest 2600mAh which further comes with STAMINA mode.
