New bend-test video claims that the Huawei Nexus 6P is easy to bend

A YouTuber has uploaded a video showing the Huawei Nexus 6P bending quite easily on external pressure, sparking off talk about Bendgate yet again. This issue was raised last year right after a couple of durability tests found the Apple iPhone 6 Plus to be prone to bending on little pressure.

The Nexus 6P here is put through burn tests, scratch tests and ultimately the bend test, so obviously it was put through a lot. But the final conclusion by the video uploader is that the Nexus 6P can bend quite easily. But is that really the case?

Well, there are several response videos posted online which shows how the Nexus 6P isn't that easy to bend. The original test does seem a little unfair given that the device had already been put through a lot of pressure and any device would bend after such strenuous tests have been conducted.

So the real question here is, will the Nexus 6P bend with real-world usage? The answer is no as the other bend test videos will have you know. But if you plan to burn and intentionally scratch your Nexus 6P on a regular basis, then the answer might be slightly different.

The Nexus 6P is all set to go on sale in India this week, so a lot of customers would be mindful of this particular aspect of the device. But as far as durability goes, fans have nothing to worry about from the Nexus 6P.
