Web Summit 2015 live: Speakers from Facebook, Dell and Google descend on Dublin's RDS #websummit

Mr Shroepfer was one of those speaking in Dublin today, which is expected to attract more than 40,000 people.The top tech executive told packed out crowds at the Centre Stage about Facebook's plans for growth.

And he also look at the potential future areas of expansion, which include a greater use of video as well as virtual reality (VR).Facebook owns a number of VR firms.
And speaking about 4K television, something BT was the first to launch, its head of consumer, John Petter, said the new resolution was “better” than seeing the real thing up close.
“It makes you feel like your are there, as the picture quality is so vivid.”
And speaking about the future of BT and how users consume sport and other television, he said it was all about the use of multiple device, such as tablets and smartphones.
He said it was a “big step” receiving initial approval for BT's massive takeover of mobile network EE.
