6 Devices Microsoft Launched At Its Windows 10 Event




Microsoft has just refreshed its hardware lineup. At an event in New York, the company unveiled its first laptop, a new line of Lumia smartphones, a new Surface Pro tablet and an updated version of its wearable fitness tracker, Microsoft Band -- all running on its latest operating system Windows 10.
Here's a sneak peek at 7 devices Microsoft launched at its Windows 10 event.

Lumia 950

Lumia 950 includes a 5.2-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with hexacore CPUs. The smartphone feature a 20MP rear camera, has up to 32GB of storage. Users can install microSD card of up to 2TB for more space. Priced at at $549, Lumia 950 supports 4K videos and uses liquid cooling technology.

Lumia 950 XL

Lumia 950 XL has a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 810 processor with octa-core CPUs. The smartphone feature a 20MP rear camera, has up to 32GB of storage, 4K video capabilities and uses liquid cooling technology. The storage on the smartphone can be extended to up to 2TB using a memory card.

Lumia 550

Cheapest smartphone launched by the company at the event, Lumia 550 has a 4.7-inch HD display and runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 processor. The smartphone is priced at $139.

Surface Pro 4

On tablet front Microsoft unveiled Surface Pro 4 tablet, a larger but thinner and lighter version of the Surface Pro 3. Launched nearly a year and a half after its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch screen with 267ppi. It runs on 6th-generation Intel Core processor and has 16GB of RAM, 1TB storage packs a G5 chipset, reportedly designed by Microsoft.
There’s also a new Surface pen with all-year battery life and interchangeable tips.
Surface Pro 4 is 50% faster than Apple's MacBook Air, Panos Panay, the corporate vice president for Surface Computing at Microsoft, said at the event. The latest Microsoft tablet is priced at $899.

Surface Book

Surface Book is Microsoft's its first-ever laptop.Claimed to be twice as fast as Apple's MacBook Pro, Surface Book has a 13.5-inch display with 267ppi and features a track pad made of glass.
The laptop, with 12.3x9.14x0.9 measures approximately 1.5kg.
Termed the "ultimate" laptop by Microsoft, the Surface Book starts at $1,499 for its entry level model equipped with a Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB.

Microsoft Band 2

Microsoft also launched the next-generation version of its fitness band. Called Band 2, it allows users to monitor their fitness and exercise regime and is priced at $249. Unlike its predecessor, the new Band has a curved display, which uses the Corning Gorilla glass 3, and has a barometer sensor to track elevation.
